The Ramones started a music revolution. They were the first true punk band. They could not play nor could they sing; that wasn't the point. The Ramones would go on to release numerous more albums and tour all over the world. Tommy and Dee Dee quit the band and were replaced by Marky and CJ Ramone. Joey Ramone died on Sunday, April 15, 2002, the cause being lymphatic cancer.
