In his 1963 novel, A Clockwork Orange, Anthony Burgess tells the story of Alex, a young boy who is violent and evil. This novel addresses many psychological issues, most of which are very easy to point out. Although at times a father and son relationship between these two characters seems like a stretch, when all of the examples are put together it makes the idea worth mentioning. At times F. Alexander does seem to act like a father to Alex. I am not sure if Burgess intended to do this or if I am looking too much into the novel, but I believe that this is worth looking at.
