…in Looking Backward At Us; he is an extremely cool-headed, fair-minded individual who refuses to claim that his ideas are better than anyone else's. Being black, Raspberry's writings could have contained a severe bias; however, he avoids preaching on behalf of the suffering his people have endured and instead focuses on the positive lessons it has taught him. He does a commendable job of focusing on the issue, instead of on the opinions concealed within.
