one of those books that you just can't put down. I liked the way that the chapters ended just before a main event was about to take place. It made me want to read the next chapter, and the next, and the next. I love the happy ending where Tom adopts Willie. I really like the very last sentence in the book "Dad, I'm growing!" because I think that's the whole meaning of the book!
