being a middle-age male prostitute is not the best situation to be in. The writer may have used somewhat strange works for the main-characters, but it just emphasises his point. Being a business woman, by pimping for other street woman, is better than living in a dream, were you are a male prostitute, at the age of fifty. Amy is the wake-up-call Mr. Chalfont needed to realise who and what he is, an old man.
