…only 15 months, it kept America out of conflict with Britain and France, faintly denting the initiative of war. The Embargo Act and Washington's neutrality proclamation both aided in the dodging of going into war with Britain and France. Without these two leaders, we would of surely gone into war, unhappily altering all the history books.
