An Officer and a Gentleman was made in 1982. It stars Richard Gere as Zack Mayo, Debra Winger as Paula Pokrifki, and Louis Gossett, Jr. as Sgt. Emil Foley. I think that the cast is amazing. Louis Gosset, Jr. won best supporting actor for his role, and Debra Winger was nominated for best supporting actress for hers. …he needed to learn afterward. Of course, as in most romances the ending is highly unlikely, but I love it anyway. I think that my favorite part of the movie is the ending although it is not unexpected it is still the best ending of all time. This movie makes a great date movie because it can keep the interest of both the male and the female. It is definitely on my top ten list.
