The Bible is the most influential book ever written. The Bible consists of two main divisions, the New and the Old Testaments. …however is based on an Eastern text. These differences between Western and Eastern religion can be spotted quite easily. Firstly, The Bible focuses on devotion to God as a spiritual being while Eastern religions (such as Buddhism which is the subject of Siddhartha) devotion is focused on oneself. These differences are subtle influences on the difference of Western and Eastern psychology. However, that is a different topic so focus will not be put on that.
