In Ayn Rand's Anthem, the author shows a civilization where people lived without personal freedom, living only to serve their state. Men and women exist only to serve their Brothers and do what is expected of them. Although society has crushed all individuality and everyone lives in total collectivism, there is one in this novel who dares to go against society, Prometheus. throughout the book. He realized the truth and practiced the worship of "I". Ayn Rand tells us to never give up our individual freedom as in this corrupt civilization where communism has taken over and mankind has lost it's spirit of individuality, uniting together to worship "we" and people live like robots, only doing what is good for everyone, never thinking of themselves. Anthem shows the dangers of collectivism and the strength of free will.
