Assessing Global performance McDonalds global has not been doing to well of late. Over the last three years we have seen their stock slide 60%, which is catastrophic by any organisations standards. This year McDonalds had their first quarterly loss in their 47-year history. Despite their dismal performance in the USA, sale in Europe are only down by 1%. …restaurant and carry practically everything, from meat and potatoes to light bulbs. Coca-Cola, the right well-known drink, has been with McDonald's from the beginning supplying beverages. McDonald's is increasingly using its leverage to capitalise upon global purchasing practices. New restaurants throughout Europe feature tabletops from Belgium; chairs, floors and tiles from Italy; doors from Austria etc. all using low-cost, quality suppliers. This is a clever cut- cutting technique that will ultimately bring down future costs.
