…in the German community. We get together often and get German food. My father makes bratwurst, and soups and of course, they drink a lot of German beer. My family celebrates Oktoberfest every year. Since I have such a strong connection with my past, and my ethnic origin, I can relate to the feelings of Sethe and Zora. They were both very proud of their African-American roots, as I am proud of my German heritage
