Black Robe

The Black Robe of Colonialism "Black Robe", a story written by novelist Brian Moore, is a film some say is a "story that preludes to nothing", however, I believe that the film did an excellent job of portraying colonialism, racism, and ethnocentrism. …about Ethnocentrism and Colonialism and the problems that followed as a French missionary encountered a different lifestyle. Through contact and listening to his friend Daniel, he was able to see that their ways of life were valid as well. This movie did a good job of displaying the harsh realities of life during a time of a "culture clash." The similarities to today make this story a worthwhile movie to take home and learn from.
