Book Banning is a Ban on Freedom of the Press

Nobody is forcing people to read a book and believe its viewpoints, so why ban a book when all it does is deny a person's right to read? The First Amendment to the U.S Constitution allows freedom of speech and press because they are a human's moral rights. A human also has the moral right to read whatever they choose, not what others decide is proper or not. Book banners may believe they are …

…the First Amendment. Other people cannot choose what is permissible and what is not. A person is allowed choices to decide for himself. To ban a book is to infringe on the rights of everyone who can no longer have access to the book. The First Amendment clearly states there shall be no restriction to freedom of speech of press. Unfortunately, presently book banning is still attempted, and people's rights are being violated every day.
