If a Buddhist were asked who Jesus was, responses would likely include: a good man, a prophet, the founder of the Christian religion, the younger brother of Buddha. This belief is held very strongly by Buddhists as they believe that by not desiring anything, then they are more clearly and quickly onto the path to achieve Nirvana. To a Buddhist, hope lies in ending the cycle of suffering and reincarnation. There is no External life for the Buddhist, no hell, no heaven. Hope lies in achieving Nirvana...hope lies in non-existence.
