Sky High Sky High is an incredible piece of writing, and after dissecting each metaphor and sieving through the many similes, I have come to the conclusion that Sky High highlights the very essence of change - that at some stage in life, you must yield to it. That is the major alteration that occurred during the transition from girl to woman - the fact that change cannot be impulsive anymore, but rather planned for and dictated by the power that consequence holds over us. It is through the language devices and writing styles discussed that Hannah Roberts was able to convey these ideas on change that become quite intriguing once fully analysed
