Christianity and Wealth: Can you have both at the same time?

If Christians "love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength" (Matt. 22:37), then they cannot love money at the same time. This is the love of ultimate priority and total attachment and should not allow for a divided mind because "no man can serve two masters; he will love the one and hate the other " (Matt. 6:24). …Christian love seeks the highest good of others without recognition or personal gain, and without influence. Affluent Christians, and this probably includes the majority of the North American church, should appreciate their spiritual richness of connecting with Christ Jesus, and must maintain being poor in spirit. In faith we realize that our identity and ability only come from the grace of God. You should not have wealth if you want to be a dedicated Christian.
