In order for you to fully understand the conflict management styles used in my organization I must first explain to you what conflict means to me. …better? l What perceptions or misperceptions are driving this conflict? l How do the perceptions of the disputants differ? lWhat are the real issues of the conflict and what are superficial issues? If we want to reduce the conflict in our organizations, we must transform the conflict into positive outcomes by learning from the conflict and addressing the real issues involved in the dispute. Avoiding or suppressing conflict does not work and make matters worse.
