Since the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001, we have become more fearful of crime than ever before. The groups that are more fearful of crime are typically not the groups that are the most victimized. Our nation, as a whole, needs to implement more ways to reduce the fear of crime that we have. These ways can begin as close as our own homes.

ones the public flocks to on TV, those are the ones that are the most publicized. There are more routine crimes committed in the United States than murders and kidnappings combined.
It is up to all of us to keep educated on crime in our country. We can influence the laws in our country by staying informed and voting on the laws that will help keep criminals off our streets for longer periods of time.
