…is exposed. The cowardly things he did he only did because he was a hero. It is hard to understand, but if you think about it, it is true. His bravery matches up to those on even the bravest of scales. Cyrano de Bergerac is a wonderful character. He is brave and cowardly, but that gives him depth. He is more brave than cowardly though. That is what I think the author wanted to show.
