…was a changed man after knowing Andy. Shawshank was never the same after Andy arrived, and it changed even more after he left. His influence on the inmates changed the environment forever. Shortly after Andy escaped there was an anonymous article submitted to the newspaper that exploited the cruelty of the Warden and his Guards and they were arrested the same day. Determination was the gas that fueled the engine of change at Shawshank Prison.
