…As is seems, Candide shows the corruption of religious institutions and officials through examples of the Catholic Church and other religions as well. He points out that a great place to live without corruption and abuse of religion is in the city of El Dorado. This city can be used as a model of all of Europe to abide by and citizens to hope for. Through these examples of corruption, organized religion is itself, corrupt.
