…'Great Gatsby' remains a text based entirely in the real world. The texts although differing in there concepts of dreams maintain that they are essential to humanity and remain the basis for hope. The texts all can be compared to the great Gatsby although many successfully negate the selfish dream displayed in the novel. The grounds for dreams, it may be concluded, remain merely a relative concept; as for each person it is essentially different.
