…use of Wide-shots, Medium-shots and Close-ups we can identify, understand and observe the characters' thoughts and ideologies. From a character dominating screen space to eloquent silences, pauses and camera movement affecting our feelings and moods towards the characters. Of the five examples of positive reasons to cut, the scene structure is balanced and nicely emphasising elements on the screen. We are slowly becoming more subconsciously aware of shots that don't quite work when cut together.
