In some cases wealth can be a magnificent privilege but Pip let it get the best of him and did not know how to handle his own money. He was arrogant. Like a kid run awry in a candy store Pip had no idea what he was getting himself into. Money is temporary, so is superficial happiness. His biggest mistake was forgetting that he did not need money to have a good life.
