Harry S. Truman was born on May 8, 1884, in Lamar, MO. He was the son of John Anderson and Martha Ellen Young Truman.

He was chosen as VP running mate for FDR because of his honesty and integrity, in the 1944 campaign. They won a comfortable victory. Truman served only 82 days as VP, when FDR died. Harry S. Truman became the 33rd President of the US.
