…was ok, as only a child can, many evil things were going on around her. Many of her experiences outlined above allowed her to see the world in a slightly less idealistic way. While many sad events took place, she managed to remain a happy child. Her experiences give us just a small idea of what was a horrific and difficult time for coloured people in many parts of the world - not just America.
