People usually know more about their own culture, but people also know something about other cultures too, whether it is true or not. A white man's perspective may be very different than an Indians perspective when it comes to the Indian culture. …stereotypes were so overwhelming and were the ones that many Americans thought of when it came to Indians. These stereotypes are very damaging to many Indians, and if you don't think so then put yourself in there shoes and watch an Indian movie such as The Searchers. When society looks upon Indians as being someone who is dumb, evil or just worthless then blame it on the movies and the white people who make them.
