Northern Ireland is an administrative division of the United Kingdom, which is situated, in the northeastern portion of the island of Ireland. The remaining portion of the island is part of the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland constitutes about 17 percent of the land area of Ireland and has 31 percent of the island's population. Some of those groups are the American Ireland Education Foundation and Minnesotans for a United Ireland, which profess organizations dedicated to peace and promotion of Irish culture.
