This critical evaluation is on the play, 'Journey's End' written by R.C Sherriff. In my view, a hero is someone who would risk his or her life or something of value to them to save or help another person. …looking at both sides of him. Like his short temper we saw when he had his various argument, and his drink problem, but Stanhope is a good person. As seen during the last scene especially, and the fact he has fought 3 years in the war, this is a great achievement to have with your name. Overall I think Stanhope is a hero, but he does have a few problems that need to be straightened out
