Justice is blind. It cannot see the truth. The truth that I am innocent. Wrongly accused of a callous murder. There I stood in the middle of a courtroom surrounded by strangers. The shadows became longer, as the sun set. I undid my belt and tied it to one of the bars on top of the door. I stood on my chair and tied the belt around my neck. "You won," I said quietly to myself.
I kicked the chair out from underneath me. The prison had beaten me, the real murderer had won, I had lost. Justice is blind.
