Lord of the flies, the effects of the setting

In the novel Lord of the Flies, by William Golding the setting had a very strong influence in the actions and attitudes of the characters. If it where to have taken place in any other scenario such as a meadow things would have taken a different turn. The setting proved to be a key role in how Golding gave life to the characters of the novel lord of the Flies.
