The effects of the two bombs that were dropped are still affecting people to this day with radiation related problems. The Manhattan Project changed the world forever. Repercussions ranging from nuclear fallout to a Cold War and world wide arms race have all transpired since the world found out that weapons that destroy whole cities actually do exist.
