Music was important in the Medieval time period because it was a major source of entertainment. There were no televisions or radios so people made up fairy tales and made music. Many instruments were created and used in making music, some of which were very bizarre. Classical music that was woodwindy and high-pitched was the music of choice in the Middle Ages. …what was better: the television or radio preference, I'm saying more than half of the students would choose radio over TV. Music is much more fun to listen to and interpret in your own way. Thanks to Medieval music, we still can. In the Middle Ages, instrumentation and composition was way different form anything else of its time. That why its influence was so great and the world is the way it is right now.
