The purpose of this report is to analyse the content of two News Bulletins on two different television channels, in this case channels' Nine and the ABC, and to report any similarities and differences found in either the content or presentation. These two Bulletins were televised on the same night, Monday the 27th October 2003, but at different times, with Channel Nine being televised at 6.00pm, and the ABC being televised at 7.00pm.

…many similarities, there were many more differences. The ABC presents the news in a more adult manner than Channel 9. The ABC News Bulletin also went for a longer amount of time than Channel 9, and as such, and was able to show more different news stories, and each of the news stories shown were able to go for a longer amount of time, including more information and more facts about each story shown on that night.
