…him in the back of the head, just like Candy's dog, to put him out of his misery. I think that this book was brilliant and was very emotional. It was very realistic. The description of the setting was really good. John Steinbeck described the characters and their personalities wonderfully. Their relationships in the book are something people can relate to. This book covers many people- different skin colours, disfigurention, loneliness, angriness, friendliness and flirting.
