"Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens.

The treatment of the poor in Victorian times were terrible. The poor were incredibly deprived, with no housing or enough money to support their families, unlike today, where poor means buying store brand products instead of popular brand names. …Twist". At times it was sad to read about the terrible things that had happened to this boy at such a young age. You become attatched to Oliver and want things to turn out in his best interest. Charles Dickens is one of my favorite authors and I believe that he really gets his point across in telling about the lives of poverty stricken children and tried to get people to do something about it.
