another for rewards. Nevertheless, there is a deep trust among many of the prisoners. For example, at the end of the day, Alyoshka tries to convince Shukhov to become a Christian and pray to God. Finally, Shukhov refuses but that shows that there is love between prisoners. Alyoshka wants him to pack up the "daily bread" instead of the real bread. Alyoshka know that only God can help them to get through all the difficulties.
