Jane Austen was born in Steventon, Hampshire in 1775. Jane was the fifth child in a family of seven. She started writing at an age of 12. She was sent to a private school where the education was good and she also had extra support from her father to improve her education and literacy ambition. …town". Netherfield reflects on where Jane Austen used to live. She lived in a small town in the south of Britain to called Steventon and she grew up in a family very much like the Bennet's. A lot of the time in those days new people mainly men would come to new villages in such of marriage. This happens in Pride and Prejudice when Mr Bingley comes to Netherfield at the beginning of the book.
