…is your true intent, Emerson suggests. What happens when everyone does as he or she pleases without the fear of consequences? Society does not want chaos but order. If Emerson's advice can only bring chaos to a nation, why would a nation want to practice it? To entirely reject conformity does not insure a better society or self, it only brings chaos to society and feeling of isolation to self. Why take on the unnecessary?
