In my opinion it is very likely that the communist party would once again rise to power by overthrowing the sickly democratic government. It would greatly improve the people quality of life, and things can't get much worse for them now. Radical action can easily be taken in such a poor, starving, unhappy nation with a weak governmental backbone.
