Samuel Adams was born on September 27, 1722, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was born into a wealthy family. His father was Deacon Adams and was the second cousin of John Adams, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and second president of the United States. …Governor of Massachusetts, serving from 1789-94. He was elected as governor in 1794, and served to 1797, afterwards retiring to his home in Boston. He died in 1803 in Boston at the age of 81. Samuel Adams is remembered moslty for having a beer company name their beer after him and for his influence to the colonists to get them against the British and start the Revolutionary War. He is one of the greatest American heroes of his time.
