Richard goes around manipulating all those who will be manipulated, and if they are not willing they are disposed of. However, it is easier to do this to people who are already weak in mind and heart and need him as a dependent. Clear cases of this can be seen with his seduction …

When he is asked again to become king he graciously accepts this time saying " how far I am for desire of this"(238). This scene is not only another example of Richard's seduction methods but it is also where all his hard work pays off. He has his title and the citizens on his side.
