Sociological Analysis of the Chernobyl Disaster

Introduction and Background: On April 24th, 1986, in Ukraine, former USSR, it was a cool night with high humidity levels. The employees of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant were going about their regular duties on their ordinary shifts. Little did they know, that within hours, their lives would be changed, if they were spared, for the rest of their lives and generations much beyond them. …that their homes and themselves had been exposed to, let alone told at safe times to evacuate their homes to move to a safe area. There is no way to plan for such an event like this, and the best is the only thing one can wish for with such a detrimental effects, so the best a facility or government can do is act quick, act honest; it will save lives in the long run.
