Another goal of the proposal is to decrease the amount of traffic, which would reduce the amount of air pollution within the city. Furthermore, the goal is to recycle the vacant substandard neighborhoods and economic centers of the downtown vicinity. Overall, the goal is to increase urban growth and reverse the effects of spatial mismatch within the Saint Louis City area.
