a beautiful condo for Dickie. He rights himself letters and he even sends himself a Christmas present. Tom attempts to keep the two lives apart, but it is still always himself. The film portrays this very well by having a split screen view, showing him in both of his lives. When Dickie's old friend Freddy starts to catch, however, Tom loses it again and is forced to kill him, much like he did with Dickie.
