This adaptation allowed them new perspectives that changed the way they viewed themselves as individuals. This in turn allowed them to realise their strengths and weaknesses, also allowing them to function in a team situation and to compliment each other. Consequently, each character allowed him/herself to survive through processes of change and adaptation.
