"Tartuffe" by Moliere

Literature as we know it today is completely different than that of 400 years ago. Literature is immortal, and as the world changes and people die, literature will always be there, like a time capsule, showing how we change as time goes on. Moliere's "Tartuffe", is evidence to this statement, and is best understood with a comprehension of his artistic climate in his time period of mid-17th century France, under the rule of King Louis XIV.
