For example in this story, if the boy is refused to see poor children, he will auto-matically form a prejudiced attitude against poor people when he gets older or as in this case defy-ing the parents and being more independent. Prejudices are in my opinion pretty much based on the upbringing by the parents. A child has a right to be independent and have its own meanings.
