Considering the attention and respect (perhaps undue) that today's movie and music stars receive, Neal Gabler is completely justified in his argument that entertainment has the capacity to "ruin" society. It is certainly possible that the entertainment industry may shape up or that entertainment may not impair society in any drastic way, but through my reasoning and best judgment I can only anticipate that entertainment does have the capacity to, and will, ruin society if it stays the course it is currently taking.
