This term in English Comp II, we have read many short fiction stories. "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson was one of the stories we read. …is representing how easy it is in which life can be taken away. <Tab/>Throughout the story Shirley Jackson, uses the representation of names, and object to contribute meaning to the story. They all add up to the theme of the story and the help represent religious implications throughout the story. After reading "The Lottery," one can compare the tradition of stoning, in the story, to some of today's barbaric traditions.
